Scenario

When disconnecting external displays, occasionally Windows will fail to move the cx-p window to the remaining display. This will often manifest as cx-p launching with an icon on the task bar but nothing on the display. Maximizing the window or using the window movement hotkeys will not recover the display.

Solution

Hover your mouse over the icon in the task bar and then right click on the preview window. Select Move and move your mouse to the centre of your display. Click the arrow keys in any direction and you should see the window snap to your cursor.

If Move is greyed out, click Restore, and then Move.
