Applicable Models

Covers OMRON Fixed Robot Lineup, both EtherCAT and non EtherCAT models.

Scenario

When replacing a OMRON fixed robot battery there may be a residual error if the battery level is too low. When this occurs do not power cycle the robot. Instead, connect a battery to the secondary connector, then removing the old battery that is connected to the primary.

In the event that power is lost (or a power cycle occurs) with a BA error present, then you may lose calibration of the robot. In this instance, contact your local OMRON office for a robot maintanence service.
