Cable for programming and communication to a C-Series PLC
OMRON Australia and New Zealand sell a prefabricated cable for connection of RS-232 between a C-Series PLC and a PC. This cable will suit PLCs such as CP1L and CP1L-E, CP1E, CP2E, CP1H, CJ-series & CS-series.
It is often combined with an OMRON CS1W-CIF31 USB to RS232 adapter to provide a programming COM port for C series PLCs.
The part number is CABLE-001 2m for a 2m length cable. Below is the wiring diagram if you wish to make your own cable. Maximum RS232 cable length is 10m for a good quality, shielded cable.
