With the NA Series HMI users can perform a project synchronisation using an external media storage device. The below procedure outlines the process:

  1. Insert the SD Card or USB to use for upload into the computer
  2. Open the device system menu and select the “Transfer Operations” Button
  1. Touch the option for “Transfer User Program from HMI”
  1. Specify the storage device and a file name, select “Transfer from HMI”. The upload to the storage device will begin.
  1. Insert the SD Card or USB into the computer and from the toolbar in Sysmac select “Synchronization → Media Device”
  1. Specify the desired filename for the upload process and click “OK”
  1. The Sysmac project is compared to the project on the storage media as seen in the normal Synchronisation process.

Precautions

When a project is uploaded, the internal devices are not linked. In this condition, you will not be able to perform offline debugging with the Controller Simulator or variable mapping.

Refer to 8-3-4 Relinking Internal Devices on page 8-18 of the NA HMI Manual for information on how to relink internal devices
