Should the Intelligent Tap remain connected to the F3SG-4SR Light Curtains?

Typically, the Intelligent Tap only needs to remain connected to the Light Curtains when the settings and features of the Light Curtains are being configured. Once the configuration of a set of Light Curtains is complete, simply power off the Light Curtains, remove the Intelligent Tap, reconnect the cables and power on the Light Curtains.

However, there are two situations where the Intelligent Tap must remain connected to the Light Curtains.

Situation 1: IO-Link

If the Light Curtains are going to be connected to an IO-Link master device for monitoring, communication and control, then the Intelligent Tap must remain connected to the Light Curtains, as the IO-Link cable will connect to the Intelligent Tap.

Situation 2: Bluetooth Communication

If the Light Curtains require Bluetooth capability, which is typically used for mobile devices to access the Light Curtains using the SD Manager 3 Mobile App, then the Intelligent Tap must remain connected to the Light Curtains, with a Bluetooth Module installed.
